Halloween Puppies

Hi Debby,

I thought I would send you some recent pictures of our two little ones. It is amazing how much color change Dawa went through to where she now looks much like her older brother with the exception of some red streaks on both her ears. Another characteristic they both share is the single tooth that tends to always show when they look at you, Dawa’s is on the left side of her face and Karma’s is on the right. In the attached photographs Dawa is in the picture labeled “Puppy with pumpkin” and of course Karma’s picture is labeled with the 1 in the title. Personality wise Karma is much more relaxed and has let Dawa assume alpha but she is certainly lost when he is not around. Dawa is certainly our little princess who is extremely affectionate and will always come up to your face to give you kisses. They both are so much a part of our family that it is truly difficult to plan a vacation without them going. Thank you so much for such wonderful well adapted puppies.  Take care!

We took the boy in for his summer hair cut and when Olga went to pick him up she barely could recognize him.  Needless to say we were not too pleased with the way the groom cut him and I must say he was very unhappy about it as well.  We could not get him to go outside and he was having accidents in the house so we had to revert back to the puppy training methods again.  His hair is starting to grow back now some and I jokingly call him our Chia Pup.  I would suspect he will be back to his full coat by October.  Here is a picture of both after his cut and the second is of the girl on graduation day from puppy training.  Take care!

Hi Debby,

Karma and Dawa are doing great, he loves playing with her and it does not seem like he is being to rough.  She will charge across the room towards him at full speed and he just jumps into the air and then chases her, so all is going well with them.  It is fun to just watch them in their antics!  She is going to school with him today; so we will see how well he remembers his commands with her present.  Great seeing you again, take care.

Debby,

I just wanted to give you an update on our two little rascals. They are both doing well and having lots of fun chasing and chewing on each other. It is clear she is trying to take dominance over him, but he is having nothing to do with that; he basically gets atop of her and lies down with her trap between all four legs and just holds her there while he chews on her. Their antics are quite amazing and they have some much love to share when I come home from work or travel. The one thing we have noticed in difference between the two is she certainly shows signs of being more timid and has a tendency of nervous barking. We are working with the trainer to help build her confidence, but I would like any recommendations you may have? Thanks!

Debby,

I thought I would send you a copy of the Vet's invoice for Karma's surgery
to indicate we have gotten him neutered.  It really did not go so well, he
was in pain for a longer period of time than we expected.  For several days
following when he walked it was only for a few steps and then he would sit
down abruptly.  While he was sitting he would lean to one side and hold one
of his back legs up to keep pressure off that area.  He seemed to do better
running than walking if that makes any sense.  Basically he was not himself
unless I gave him pain medication and this lasted for a week following the
surgery.  Does this represent your experiences as well, I do not remember my
previous male having this much trouble.  He seems to getting back to normal
now; Dawa and he are having a grand time together.  Watching them play is
just as much fun as joining in with them in a game of chase.  We will send
you photos as they both continue to grow.  Take care.
